Lisa Sanco
Executive Director
Lisa started her career at the Chicago Botanic Garden before moving to Central Oregon in 2013, where she got a job maintaining the landscape at Worthy Brewing. After Worthy Garden Club incorporated in 2015, she worked her way up, securing the Executive Director position in 2024. She loves educating her community on the importance of ecological landscaping and biodiversity conservation, and is a founding member and current board member for Pollinator Pathway Bend.

Jessica Walker
Organic Farm Manager
Raised by a botanist and a wildlife biologist, Jessica grew up farming and ranching on a one-acre farm. She served in the United States Army before returning to Idaho as a Firefighter/EMT, but after moving to Bend in 2021, Jess re-discovered her passion for growing plants and creating native habitat, completing her Master Gardner training in 2023. She enjoys connecting humans with nature and currently volunteers at the Central Oregon Veterans Ranch.

Grant Tandy
Astronomical Interpreter
Our resident "Sky Guy" joined the ranks of Worthy Garden Club following a three-year tenure as an astronomical interpreter at the Oregon Observatory. Grant holds the volunteer position of a NASA-JPL Solar System Ambassador and is a prominent member of Dark Sky Oregon. He strives to enhance scientific literacy and provide a fresh perspective that expands our understanding of the cosmos. You can find him in the Hopservatory every week during public viewing nights.
